You've come to understand the power of thought and that thought is a very real creative force. You know that the thoughts you focus on continually will become your life, your reality.
You also understand the necessity of having clarity. To have a clear image in your mind of what it is you want and how you're going to get it.
You know that procrastination is your archenemy and will prevent you from succeeding. You know to review your plan frequently, making adjustments as needed, and that doing so will help ensure your success.
So what do you do when you're doing all of that but it seems that it isn't working and that, if anything, life has become even more challenging?!
You Stay The Course!
Staying the course is another way of saying that you will continue to pursue your goal regardless of any obstacle, criticism or circumstance.
You've probably heard the old cliche' about the man who was digging for gold, and after much time and toil eventually gave up. The thing is, he gave up and was only ten feet from the gold! There is a valuable message contained in that old cliche' and it is this: There are times when all outward appearances are contrary to the truth! The man who gave up digging didn't know he was only ten feet from gold. He had been working so hard for so long, digging, digging, digging and with each shovel full of dirt and rock he heaved over his shoulder, he found only another waiting to be dug. That is why he lost heart and gave up. He had become focused on the "outward appearance" that all his work was yielding him nothing.
Hold on to Your Truth!
Where did he go wrong? He shifted his focus from the truth. "What truth?" you ask. The truth that if he controlled his own thoughts, maintained his clarity and persisted in his plan he would certainly succeed!
Don't be fooled by outward appearances and by that I mean the things that happen in your life that are from the "outside". Day to day occurrences or situations that are external, some of which may appear to be working against you or holding you back. To focus on these outward appearances is easy, but will leave you living a reactionary lifestyle instead of being the Captain of your own ship.
Hold on to the truth inside of you! Turn your back on discouragement! You know where you are heading and that nothing can stop you unless you allow it. Focusing in this way requires more effort but will deliver to you the life you desire!
What are some things you do or have done to keep yourself on course to your goal or dream?
